I just reviewed the bug in the Clans where some Clans have no members. Apparently, those who create a Clan have to join their own in order to gain the Admin rights. This bug has been fixed and should not exist anymore. Reminders to all Moderators - Please review each of the Clans periodically and remove the ones that are 'pointless', those that do not look like they intend on have members join (like the content in the Clan). Reminder to all other members of GiroPets - please add good content to your Clan if you own a Clan or intend on creating one soon, otherwise it will be erased. Thanks everyone.

The big building next to the Office Building in DownTown GiroTopia is now the DownTown Factory, the place where all of the items in GiroTopia are made.
And just a quick update - a type-o has been corrected in one of the Games' descriptions in the GameRoom.

Well, I am impressed indeed. One of the Projects that I had looked at last night was Project GHA and I am surprised on how much of it I had done. The last time it was worked on was July of last year, I'm surprised that I hadn't finished it. Here's what the progress was the last time it was worked on :
40% Complete - 60% Unfinished
More of it will be worked on. I hope to finish it soon and get it up on the site in complete working condition. Please bare with me while I work on this. If you get word of it is, please don't spread it to anyone else.  Though I don't think that's how the real world works...

I would like to announce that I am trying my hardest to get some of the old projects that were started and were never completed back into action. For the past hour, I have been going through the All Clans Page, So far near to 100 inactive clans have been deleted, however this is an ongoing procedure.
Note To Clan Owners: If you are inactive for 50 days or more, your clan will be deleted, this is unless your clan has very active members, posting frequently

I still see a lot of pointless Clans on the site still, I just went through the list and deleted 21 of them that had no members in it (meaning that the owner of the Clan found a way to exit their own Clan), and I'm sure there's still more pointless ones with no content and intention on any members joining them. I urge all Moderators to go through the Clans list and to delete ones that seem to be pointless to get them off of the system. I hate to stress this again. Thank you.

GiroPets' Economy was just fixed as some cheaters/hackers screwed it up. They somehow managed to get their accounts' GiroPoints to a fenominal negative amount and messed up the averages. These two users (no names) were Deep Frozen and it should be fixed now. I would like to remind everyone that cheating on the site is not funny and there is no point in doing it. We log each action you take on the site and we can permanently ban you from ever accessing any website hosted on GiroPets' server. We do not and will not take this matter as far as that if this problem does not occur again. Thank you.

Due per request, the old TWG/AWG and Lottery Draw news posts were deleted from the database as they were deemed as "pointless" and slowed up the news page from loading.

The Lottery page has been updated for a minor change today. Because of the new lottery event, the amount of GP won for the last draw was missing from being shown. A new line has been added to tell this amount. The change should kick into effect the next time the lottery is drawn. Please GiroMail me if it does not work for the next draw and I will have a second look at it. Thank you.

I finished working on a better way for the Lottery and Voting news posts to work. They will no longer be added to the news page, but they will be regular Green events that show up at the top of the page. Hopefully, this will be a lot better than how it was before. Everyone will see this new change the next time the Lottery is drawn and the next time it is time to Vote.

It has come to my attention that two of the three Flash games wasn't issuing GP out to those who were trying to submit their scores. I've fixed this, so everyone can go and play them again.

I just finished writing a new Help Topic that involves Pet Clothing Per Request. This Help Topic lists the types of Clothing that are available and what pets they can be used on. When I seen one of my pets was in the list, and I had an article of clothing, the "Wear Clothing" link wasn't showing up in the Manage Items page. I investigated more into this problem, and in about 10 minutes time, I realized there was a bug in a database query. I fixed this, and all the pets in that list should be able to wear what types of clothing that are available. Former staff member Úber Vac wrote the code and not me, so the next time I see him I should slap him on the wrist. :P It was only working with a select few pets in that list that were Blue and none other. Nobody is perfect I suppose.

Just a quick update, another bug on the site has been fixed. The 'Mail Options' button on the Edit Account page was pointing to a dead link. It should be pointing to the right address now.

I just had a look at the All Items page and realized that Neon didn't have his own item. I quickly whipped up a 'Life of Neon' book. There's only one in circulation that I'm aware of, and Neon has that copy. Remember, like all of the 'Life of' series books, you will get a copy when you Donate to us. I thought it was appropriate for him to have it.

As I had promised the other night, I spent a bit of time and made a completely new shop located in the Downtown Shopping Area, which is the Computer Shop. Because of the new shop opening, I've released a few new items to go along with it. PLEASE TAKE NOTE : I am not the best artist in the world, but this is the best I could do. It's your job to find out what these items are and where some of them are located. Have fun !

Aah, I just had a wonderful idea on a new shop that should be made in the Downtown Shopping Area. The Computer Shop - as there are a lot of computer-related items I seen on GiroPets over the past few minutes. I might be able to make a few more items while I'm at it too. I'm sitting at my dad's house at the moment on his laptop. When I get back on Sunday evening I'll try to get started on it.

I just weeded out 170 Clans from the All Clans page as it looks like the Moderators weren't doing a very good job while I was gone. *slaps wrists of Moderators* I just weeded out Clans that had USELESS content inside them, ones that had 0 members (meaning that the owner is no longer in their Clan) and ones that were repeats. Moderators, you need to keep up with this !!

There was a bug in the Journals that I just fixed. I was told this by a fellow GiroPets member (no names) about that multiple pages (when you're reading other people's journals) didn't work. I investigated on this problem and fixed it. Please send me a GiroMail if you find any other bugs on the site.

I've taken the past few minutes to look at the site and do a few minor things to it. Here's what I have completed :- Updated the Community navigation bar to where the Message Boards automatically take you to the Quarrel.net forums dedicated towards GiroPets. You no longer have to click twice to enter the Quarrel.net forums.
- The statistics on the Stats page for the Mail A User and the AddressBooks have been re-added as they were taken off from before.
- The Stats page now lists the Top 5 Richest Members with the link to follow to the page for the Top 25 Richest Members as a quick reference tool.
- The "We Are Thinking About" and the "We Are Working On" boxes on the Stats page have been updated to show the most relevant information on what we are doing/planning to do.
- The "Job Title Explinations" page has been renamed to "Member Ranking Explinations" on the About page as it makes much more sense this way.
- The "Dedicated Member" member ranking has been added to our page of Member Ranking Explinations at the About page.
That's it for now, I'll do more updates as soon as I can.

Hello fellow members. I'm Mike (the old owner of GiroPets) and asked Neon (the new owner) if I could do a few updates to the site as it looks like they weren't done in quite a long time. He's granted me the permission to do so, and I've already started in the first half-hour after I read my eMail. Here's what I worked on during the past few minutes :- Changed the copyright date on the site's footer to 2005.
- Linked the Site Time on the site's footer to the World Time Server displaying the most accurate time for Singapore (where GiroPets Headquarters is now located).
- Cleared off The Server page of my old information, and added NeonHQ's banner and link.
- Cleared off my old profile (thegiropetsteam) as it contained my old personal information.
- Optimized the databases so that the load will be a little bit better on GiroPets.
- Removed the 'NEW' tag from all of the games that had it. They were no longer necessary as they were 'new' many months ago.
- Raised the cost for the Lottery game from 250GP to 500GP. This will help bring up the ticket sales and win more GP.
- Changed the News Post on the Index page to one that briefly mentions that updates on GiroPets are on the way.
That's pretty much I have time for now. Please keep checking back on the news as I have many, many, many more updates to come. I am operating under a new account (hopefully temporary) as izcool2 as Neon changed the password to my old izcool one. I don't want to get access to it unless he says it's ok. Many users have been found cheating in the Flash Games. They have been frozen and the Average GP Sum is down to 108k. Yes, this is still a lot but remember, it is down from over 320k!
